Chief Executive Officer
Michael Beehn is the CEO of SI Wireless. SI Wireless operates MobileNation, a facilities-based wireless operation with network and retail locations in Western Tennessee and Kentucky. SI Wireless additionally operates Twigby, which is a nationwide MVNO operating as an online-only wireless service company. Prior to becoming CEO in 2018, Michael served as Chief Operating Officer of SI Wireless. As COO, Michael was responsible for daily business operations of all wireless products, sales, marketing, customer support, and roaming.
Michael’s wireless career began at First Cellular of Southern Illinois, whereas the VP of Marketing and Product Development he led the successful marketing and branding of First Cellular. During his tenure, he pioneered the use of Unlimited Postpaid voice products, as well as developed an Unlimited Prepay product that contributed to industry-leading margins. Michael also assured new product leadership, such as being the first U.S. based carrier to launch Caller Ring Back Tones.
After assisting with the sale of First Cellular to Alltel in 2006, he held General Manager responsibilities for Alltel markets under the CellularOne brand in southern Minnesota that was operated by a trustee prior to divestiture. Before joining the SI Wireless team in 2010, Michael served as the Vice President of Marketing for Revol Wireless, which covered MSAs in Ohio and Indiana. Michael served as an active member of the Rural Cellular Association Business and Marketing committee from 1997 to 2006 and has always been involved in the issues impacting the competitive position of small wireless carriers. He currently serves on the CCA Board of Directors. Michael has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University.
Chief Technology Officer
Michael Jaksich is Chief Technology Officer for SI Wireless. In this role, he is responsible for establishing and managing the overall direction, technology and planning of all SI Wireless networks.
Throughout his 30 year wireless career, Jaksich has held a variety of positions in all aspects of planning, operations and engineering beginning with Bell Atlantic Mobile in 1987. Prior to joining SI Wireless, he was the Western Regional Director of Network Operations for all divested markets post Verizon/Alltel merger which consisted of California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. For the four years prior, he served as Northeast Regional Director of Network Operations with Alltel where he was responsible for network operations and approximately 2000 cell sites within Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia and Connecticut. From 2001-2006, he served as Vice President of Network Operations at First Cellular of Southern Illinois where he led the first known dual technology (GSM and CDMA) deployment within the same licensed spectrum.
Chief Financial Officer / Business Development
In this role, Jason is responsible for the company’s financial analysis and planning, auditing, tax, treasury, revenue assurance and focusing on both external and organic strategic business opportunities. He has also held multiple positions at Sprint Nextel, most recently as Director of Corporate Strategy where he managed the corporate plan with a focus on network strategy. This included ownership of corporate capital distributions, MVNO strategy, and multiple build programs including rural market opportunities. Business development efforts at Sprint Nextel included major MVNO agreements, network partnerships, vertical acquisitions, and international programs.
At Sprint Nextel, Jason also managed decision support functions from within the finance organization as well as developed corporate-wide activity-based models to feed pricing, management reporting, business case development, and product development tools. Jason has also managed audit functions in the transportation, industrial, and investment sectors. Prior to joining SI Wireless, he served as Chief Restructuring Officer for an asset-rich nationwide wireless company that was decommissioned and distributed back into mainstream commercial use.
Jason holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Missouri.
Chief Human Resource Officer
A native of Southern Illinois, Rhonda Barnard CHRO joined SI Wireless LLC in February 2010. As the second SIW employee, Barnard was actively involved in the administrative start-up processes. She is currently responsible for all initiatives relating to Human Resources including compensation, benefits, recruitment, and employee relations as well as managing the Company’s administrative functions. Prior to joining SI Wireless, Barnard held HR positions in various industries including manufacturing, insurance, and mining as well as serving as Director of Human Resources for First Cellular of Southern Illinois.
Barnard is a professional in Human Resources and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and has also served on the Board of Directors for Hamilton Memorial Hospital District where she was a member of the Finance and Scholarship Committees.
